This webinar was held 0n Tuesday April 29th and hosted by Austin Powder.
Title: Learnings from explosion of the acetic acid distillation system at HMX plant.
During this webinar, we conducted a thorough review of the incident involving Austin Powder in 2022. We presented an analysis of the potential root causes and highlighted key learnings, emphasizing the importance of conducting risk assessments on non-process auxiliary systems and equipment that may be exposed to residual explosives..

“Learnings from The Packaged Explosives Incident in Lorena Brazil and will be hosted by Dr Noël Hsu” will be the theme of this seventh webinar.

This date will mark the 20th anniversary of this tragic incident, and we thank Orica for making the learning from this incident available to the industry.

A major outcome of this Webinar was the creation of an International Work Group to develop a Good Practise Guide for MOC.
